We are nearing the completion of our second annual alumni appeal. This fund-raising effort was called the Second Century Fund and was geared towards reaching out to the out-of-town alumni. These proceeds helped fund expenses related to salaries, equipment, and energy conservation projects. The parish made a four-year commitment to insulate walls and install new double-paned windows in the high school. Contributions from this appeal and the parish community paid for some of these improvements.

As of Dec. 31, 2002, pledges have been received from 162 alumni totaling $8,155. We are still receiving more pledges every day. Add this to last year's pledges and it totals $21,380. This is a great return for a new program. If you have not already done so, please return your pledge cards with your intention. We wish to thank all of you for your continued support to help fund programs that prepare St. Mary's students for their role as Catholic leaders in the second century.
