The 2003 Development Dinner will be held Saturday, March 1. The evening will begin with a reception in the Knights of Columbus Hall at 6:15 pm., followed by dinner at 6:45 pm. The rib eye dinner will be catered by Westside Restaurant, owned by Paul ('72) and Erin (Havranek '74) Zakrzewski. The evening will conclude with a dance from 9 p.m. to midnight with KBRX Party Jockey providing the music.
The theme will be 'St. Patrick's Enchanted Garden'. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the evening. Our guest speaker will be Rev. John Pietramale of Hartington and Master of Ceremonies will be Scott Poese of O'Neill. Entertainment will be provided by Marvin Ziska and the St. Mary's students.
Again this year will be a silent auction with some very exciting prizes available. Items to be auctioned are: Fresh flowers
once a month for a year donated by Sunrise Floral & Gift; Prime Rib Dinner for 10 donated by Tia Zia Restaurant; Two Nebraska Football Tickets donated by Doug & Tish Chaney; Autographed Water Color Print of the State Capitol donated by Governor Mike Johanns and First Lady Stephanie Johanns; Cinnamon Rolls donated by Lucille Dufek; Swarovski Crystal donated by McIntosh Jewelry; Autographed Football signed by the St. Mary's 2002 Football D-2 Championship Team; a Bed & Breakfast donated by Sandhill Seasons Guest Ranch & Hunt, Mike & Mary Alice Dwyer, near Elgin; and a 17 pc. Slitzer Knife Set donated by Beth Tielke.
