Jordon Anderson and Emily Walnofer
KBRX News Broadcast
December 11, 2002
Good afternoon!
We want to welcome you on this beautiful winter
afternoon.
I am Jordon Anderson. And I am Emily Walnofer. We join you this
afternoon on KBRX with our weekly broadcast of St. Mary’s High School
news.!
And so, ______________________, what is happening this week at St. Mary’s?
Liturgically, an
all-school Penance Service was held for the students
this morning between nine o’clock and noon. Most students attended the
Penance Service during their regularly scheduled religion class time.
Then on Monday the music department will present the annual
all-school Christmas program in the SMH gym at seven o’clock. Everyone
is invited to come and enjoy the holiday musical entertainment by the St.
Mary’s students!
In the activities department the cheerleaders again will be selling
walking tacos during the basketball games on Friday. The money raised
will go towards payment on the newly purchased uniforms. The
cheerleaders and their parents appreciate all of the support from everyone!
This week’s senior profile is on Lindsey Kallhoff. Lindsey is the
daughter of Ron and Linda Kallhoff of O’Neill. She is seventeen years old
and has attended St. Mary’s for twelve years. This year Lindsey is involved
in volleyball, basketball, track, and cheerleading. In her spare time
Lindsey likes to hang out with friends and go out. After high school
Lindsey may possibly go to the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Her
major is undecided.
Next we have all of the winter sports activities that have been getting
into full swing this past week!

and we hope you’ve been avoiding the flu bug as everyone prepares for
finals scheduled during the final week of the semester which is next week.
We especially want to wish the one-act play cast and crew the best of luck
as they head to Kearney at five o’clock tomorrow morning to compete in
the State One-Act Play Contest!
