Our entire St. Mary's Staff for their patience during our rehearsals.
Above all we thank the parents of St. Mary's students for their continued support of Fine Arts in our School, and for their patience during the many hours our cast rehearsed. Without this support no production would ever be successful.
INTERESTING INFORMATION ABOUT OUR PRODUCTION
Nunsense was written by Dan Goggin, who wrote the music, song lyrics, and dialogue for the entire musical. Incidentally, our writer happens to be Catholic, and attended Catholic Schools while growing up.
The five characters are based on Nuns who were his teachers and he has combined his memories of them into this delightful musical production. He wrote the musical because "I wanted to share what I knew to be 'the humor of the nun' ".
Sister Mary Regina is to the outside world a model Mother Superior, but to those who know her she is an outrageous, quick-witted soul who knows how to get a laugh.
Sister Mary Hubert is a kind person who will always try to be diplomatic and understanding. BUT with the slightest bit of encouragement she is ready to kick up her heels.
Sister Robert Anne is a tough streetwise nun who has a heart of gold. All the kids adore her, because she speaks there language.
Sister Mary Amnesia is the picture of innocence. She can't remember her past so she looks at each new day with a childlike joy.
Sister Mary Leo has been a professional dancer before she entered the convent and is always eager to display her talent. She is young and impressionable and easily led astray.
