Kicking and Screaming
This newly released Will Ferrell comedy didn't live up to expectations. Based on Ferrell's previous works, this film was a little bit out of the ordinary. It is unlike some of his movies such as Old School and Wedding Crashers, which are some of his best works. In these movies he plays a party animal and funeral crashing dynamo, respectively. In Kicking and Screaming, he plays a soccer dad concerned about his son and eventually wages war with his own dad who coaches the opposing team. The story wasn't bad, but it wasn't as funny as I thought it would be. Don't have too high of expectations for this one. I give it two stars.
Tommy Boy
Looking for a great comedy full of laughter and fun? Look no further than this classic film starring Chris Farley and David Spade. Much like this duo's after film, Black Sheep, this film brings these two together in a funny enjoyable way. Chris Farley acts as the son of Tom Callahan, a million dollar business owner, but when tom dies his son Tommy(Chris Farley) has to go on the road to save the business. David Spade acts as Tommy's advisor on the road, and is often frustrated and annoyed with Tommy. This really is one of the best comedies ever, so if you haven't seen it, please do so. I give it five solid stars.
