Cross CouNtry Team FiNishes SeasoN out StroNg

This year two St. Mary's students joined the cross country team at the public school. Senior Mitch Wecker and junior Jacquie Stowell. The team started the season against Boone Central in Albion on September 2 with Wecker placing 5th. The team then had the Norfolk Catholic Invite on September 16; Wecker placed 4th and Stowell 21st. On September 23 the Boone Central Individual was held. Wecker placed 2nd overall and first in the Senior division. Unfortunately Jacquie Stowell season ended on the 23rd due to knee a injury. Wecker went on to receive 1 st at the Atkinson Invite, 1 st at the Old Rangeland Conference Invite and 3rd at Districts in Logan View. He then went on the place 11th at the State meet in Kearney. Congratulations, Mitch, on a great season!
