The game against Chambers for the subdistrict final concluded the volleyball

season for the Lady Cardinals. The Cardinals defeated Lynch in two sets and were

defeated by Chambers in two sets. The Cardinals are very proud of their winning

season, 11 wins to 10 losses. Their accomplishments this season were a trip to the

Niobrara Valley Conference Final Four, receiving fourth place in the 15 team

Conference Tournament, and finishing the season with a winning record.

Senior Amanda Davis as elected to the NVC all-conference first team.

Sophomore Laura Cameron and junior Christine Troshynski were named to the all

conference second-team and senior Shannon Holz received honorable mention.

“There are many great moments we will take from this season, such as the

effort put forth against Plainview and Chambers,” stated coach Goettertz, “or taking

Wheeler Central into three ssts! I consider this season a success.”

The future is bright for St. Mary’s volleyball team. Watch out for the when

August comes around again!!!
