St. Mary's annual Sweetheart Dance was held on February 26 at the Parish Hall. The Student Council sponsored this enchanting evening. Red, black, and white were the chosen colors for the decorations. The theme song was "Always," by Bon Jovi. Music this year was provided by "Alien Impact". Everything from rock to alternative to country music was played as part of this band's repertoire. The student body danced non-stop from 9:00 until 12:00, only to be interrupted at 10:00 for coronation. Retiring queen Jenny Selting, and retiring king, Aaron Walters, gave up their thrones to the new 1995 Sweetheart couple, King Kevin Heitz and Queen Molly Bauer. Freshman attendants were Matt Zakrzewski and Michaela Givens, Brad Timmerman and Anne Heitz were Sophomore attendants. Jeremy Zakrzewski and Kim Boettcher were the pick for the Junior Class. 1995 Senior attendants were Dave Williamson and Cortney Wettlaufer. Special bouquets and boutonnieres were designed this year by Mrs. Havenridge and Mrs. Wolken. This proved to be an extra added treat for he Sweetheart Royalty. They would not only go home with exciting memories, but they would also have a keepsake of their 1995 Sweetheart Dance which would last forever.
