Sunshine Christmas Raises Possibilities

A sunshine Christmas? What so I mean by that? Don't you ever wonder what it would be like if Christmas were in the middle of June, hot weather, people going to the river, and having Christmas picnics?

If Christmas were in the middle of June, there certainly would be differences. There would be no hot-chocolate-after-making-a-snowman days, or sleigh rides with Clydesdale horses pulling, or snowball fighting with Santa Claus. We couldn't sing "Over the River and Through the Woods" because the river wouldn't be frozen. On the other hand, Santa wouldn't catch fire coming down chimneys, relatives wouldn't be stranded in blizzards, no one would get frost bite, you could grill turkey and stuffing, and we wouldn't miss any school for Christmas vacation.

Christmas is a special event no matter when it is. We should be thankful that it is in December because most of our traditions rely upon cold weather and snow. Even though it would be nice to play badminton outdoors just once.
