Sack Lunches A Hot Issue
Food is good. School lunches are
okay. Sack lunches are predictable. Mondays are boring. Wednesdays
are close to the weekend. Fridays are prime for groovin'. For some
hidden reason, we are forced to combine groovin' with
predictable.
The lunch ladies in our lunch room
give us a sack lunch on the best day of the week. First of all, we
shouldn't be getting a lunch from a sack. we pay for warm lunch on a
plastic tray. If we wanted a ham sandwich and mini bag of chips, we
could have brought it from home and spiced it up with cookies and
soda.
Secondly, if we have no other choice
but a sack lunch, couldn't we at least have it on Monday or even
Tuesday? That would make Friday look even better. Giving us the
pre-bagged lunch on the most dreaded Monday would make the cursed day
complete. Feeding us tray food on Friday would give us abundant
energy throughout the weekend. No matter what day the lunch ladies
schedule it, a sack lunch would be displeasing. Even the celery and
carrots in those bags aren't good!
