Student Council Promotes Food Drive

On Saturday, November 18, the Student Council sponsored a food drive for the needy for Thanksgiving. Boxes were placed in homerooms in the high school and grade school for students to place cans they wished to donate. The Student Council then canvassed the town for food items. Approximately eight hundred cans were donated.

After mass on November 22, the Student Council members took the food and the money from the collection at mass to the Central Nebraska Community Service Building to be distributed to the needy. The Student Council extends appreciation to all the donators who made many people's Thanksgiving Day enjoyable.
