Prom was one of the best in years, as promised by the junior class. The juniors worked diligently to make it a memorable evening. The junior mothers worked equally as hard decorating the parish hall for the annual prom banquet.
The long awaited evening began at six o'clock with mass. Following mass, coronation took place in the beautifully transformed gym. The royalty for this year was as follows: Senior attendants, Jeff Winings and Kim Shoemaker. King, Jason Kruse and Queen, Krista Gokie. The crown bearers were Trenton Ptacek and Katelyn Schneider. Last years king and queen, Chris Shoemaker and Colleen Hibbs, returned to crown the new royalty.
After coronation, the scrumptuous banquet was held. The MC's were Kevin Heitz and Russ Berg. Entertainment during the banquet consisted of the traditional wills and prophecies, and a song dedicated to the seniors sung by Molly and Brandon.
After eating everyone put on their dancin' shoes and boogied to the tunes of Rage. Everyone broke loose and had a good time with a few jumping on stage to sing with the band.
Post prom started at 12:00 am and the fun ended at 4:00 am. There was a variety of fun games to play and many prizes were won.
Ending the memorable prom was the delicious breakfast prepared by Mary Steele with help from other parents.
Overall, prom was a special evening in which the memories of the night will never die.
