"Bring A Dozen Cookies"
by: Mel and Pat Selting

"Mom, we hafta bring a dozen cookies for…I need my football uniform washed for…I forgot my lunch, can you…"

Many thoughts and fond memories run through our minds as the last sibling is graduating from St. Mary's and begins living on her own.

From the day Jennifer was born, St. Mary's School has been a part of her life. The prayers of the students and faculty the day of her birth, and the nurse's comment, "There must be thirty St. Mary's students by the nursery window," were all beginning at St. Mary's.

Through the years we have watched not only our daughter but all her friends grow up. It seems like only yesterday the Cabbage Patch Dolls were also part of our family.

Jennifer is our fifth and last child to graduate from St. Mary's. The first in 1973 and the last in 1994. That is a lot of parent-teacher meetings. So it is with a little sadness but a lot of pride and joy that we look forward to this day. We will miss the good times with other parents at potlucks, mulligan stews, sports events, musicals, and countless other events.

Looking back over the last twenty four years at St. Mary's, we give thanks for our school, the many fine priests, sisters, teachers, and students. Looking forward, we hope St. Mary's can continue to benefit many more students.
