The 1994-95 volleyball season officially began on August 15, with very intense practice for two weeks before school started. It was a time for the girls to get the feel of things again and to meet the new coach, Todd Beck. The girls' pre-season practices were from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., during these four hours, the team reviewed the fundamentals of the game and did some strenuous conditioning. The first game took place on September 2, with Elgin at St. Mary's. The Lady Cards defeated them and played an excellent game. It was a great way to start the season. During the course of the rest of the season, the girls just couldn't get it together. They gave their best effort, but for some reason, the girls couldn't come out on top. Sub-Districts were against Stuart at Stuart on Halloween. The Cards beat Stuart in two sets and played well, but not to their potential. The second game, the girls took on Spencer Naper, a very competitive team. Spencer beat the Cards in two sets, which ended the season.
Although the record didn’t indicate the improvement the girls made during the course of the season, the girls worked harder and harder as a team and working as a team is what counts.
