St. Mary's 1994-95 girls' basketball team is showing strong possibilities of a winning season. Practice has been very intense and serious.
With their new head coach, Steve Flaherty, and assistant Bill Bauer, the team has been practicing new drills, offenses, Dan defenses in order to work every player into her position. With one returning senior, junior, and three sophomores. The remaining girls will need to gain experience on the varsity court. Yet with the amount of talent and speed the team possesses, the year should prove successful.
The Lady Cards started off the season in a showdown with Elgin Eagles on December 10th. They will also be participating in the Holiday tournament at Humphrey on December 28th and 29th. The girls are excited to start off a new winning tradition in basketball at St. Mary's.
