Two Earn College Credit

CLEP

Two seniors, Monica Gallagher and Kathleen Hayes, attained college credits in college composition and college algebra by taking the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) this year at Wayne State College.
By mastering the particular examination in a given area, the students earned college credit for the basic required course. These students have the option to take more electives if their intended college accepts the CLEP subject and examination.
Wayne State College awards credit for over half of the approximately 50 examinations included in this program. The areas of testing range from American Government, American Literature, College Algebra, College Spanish, General Biology, General Chemistry, and Introductory Accounting to Introductory Business law.
