Seniors

As I write this, there are only about three months until we seniors graduate. To our surprise, the years bringing us to this point did finally pass. I guess they always do. That seems like an obvious thing to understand, but it is not. Only now, so near graduation, does the sense of time warp fall away.

Senior year has been marked by a very peculiar mood. We still feel our differences, perhaps more acutely than ever as we plan our differing futures and have deep discussions among ourselves and in our classes, yet there is a palpable desire to spend more time together and to find out all we can about one another passing through a prism. Our objective whether it be characteristics we admire or characteristics that have always bothered us about each other, the critical knowledge is that it is our last chance to carry away memories from our high school years, which are probably the most significant of our young lives thus far.
