Andrew Willis received his juris doctor degree from Ave Maria School of Law in Ann Arbor, MI, during a commencement ceremony held on May 14, 2006, at Hill Auditorium. Andrew graduated summa cum laude and was awarded the St. Thomas More Award; one of six special awards given at the commencement ceremony.

Andrew is the son of Keith and Carole Willis and graduated from St. Mary's High School. He did his undergraduate studies at the University of Kansas, earning a bachelor of science degree. He will be joining the law firm of Cline, Williams, Wright, Johnson and Oldfather in Lincoln.

Willis was one of 86 students who were the first to graduate from Ave Maria since the Law School gained full accreditation from the American Bar Association in August 2005. Ave Maria earned this distinction in just five years, which is the shortest time frame possible.

Members of the Law School's first graduating class in 2003 achieved a 93-percent pass rate on the July 2003 Michigan Bar examination; the second graduating class in 2004 achieved a 100-percent pass rate on the July 2004 bar among first time test takers; and the third graduating class in 2005 achieved a 88% pass rate on the July 2005 Michigan Bar examination.
