I write to the St. Patrick's Parish and St. Mary's School community to inform you of how blessed my family and I feel to be accepted into such a wonderful setting. I would like to thank Fr. Nigli and the principal search committee for providing me the opportunity to work with parishioners and a wonderful school staff to enhance all aspects of religious and academic formation at St. Mary's. The Christ-centered atmosphere, outstanding academics and strong relationship with the public school system in O'Neill make it an ideal place for my wife and I to raise our children. Having married a native Nebraskan and having family and extended family who reside in the state, my wife, Carolyn, sons Ethan, who will be a sixth grader and Logan, who will be a fourth grader; look forward to making O'Neill and Saint Patrick's/ St. Mary's our home.
I am is currently the principal at. Corpus Christi Catholic School in Colorado Springs and has been in the position for five years. Previous experience in Catholic school administration and teaching experience include assistant principal and athletic director at Holy Trinity Catholic School in Colorado Springs; teaching in public and private sectors, as well as coaching high school football, middle school basketball, and a myriad of youth sports. I received a BA in history with a coaching minor from Colorado State University-Pueblo, MA in education from the University of Phoenix in Colorado Springs and completed my principal's licensure program at the University of Phoenix in Colorado Springs. I look forward to utilizing my education; teaching and administrative experience to help provide leadership to what is already considered a wonderful place to send one's child to reinforce Catholic values and acquire a fine education.
Another great aspect of the position at St. Mary's is enhancing the learning environment that has flourished for over a century. With that said, there is always the challenge to improve and while I have not had the opportunity to meet many teachers and staff to date, I know they share the same passion for school improvement that I do.
One of the most promising components in coming to Nebraska is the collaboration between the public and private school system. I look forward to being a good servant and steward and see nothing but good things in the future. My family and I wish everyone a great end to the school year and may the seniors from the Class of 2006 enjoy nothing but prosperity in your futures. Good luck! We will see you all very soon.
