PVT
Ohri enters into a proud, lifelong brotherhood composed of the select
few men and women who have earned their place in the Corps'
ranks.
Putting his recruit's honor, courage and commitment to the test, PVT Ohri faced the physically and mentally rigorous challenges packed into the 13 weeks of Marine Corps boot camp. The training was designed to enhance raw talent and to create the morale and discipline required of all Marines.
During recruit training, PVT Ohri joined others from across the country to undertake the quest to be among the world's military elite. He learned time-honored military customs and courtesies and mastered close-order drill. The demand in physical fitness regimen placed PVT Ohri in the best shape of his life. The training honed vital military skills such as marksmanship, first-aid, martial arts and leadership.
Following 10 days of well earned leave, PVT Ohri will attend Marine combat school at Camp Pendleton, CA. Upon completion PVT Ohn will report to Fort Leonardwood, MO, to train for his MOS (Marine Occupational Specialty).
PVT Ohri is a 2004 graduate of St. Mary's High School in O'Neill. He is the son of Melvin and Camille Ohri, grandson of the late Bill and Winnie McNie1, all of O'Neill, and Rose Ohri and the late Leo Ohri of Spencer.
PVT Ohri was enlisted by SGT Chester A. Peluso; from the Marine Corps recruiting station in Kearney.
