St. Patrick's Development Dinner A Success

St. Patrick's Parish Development dinner was held Sunday; Feb. 25, 2006. Over 125 people attended the dinner fund-raiser for St. Patrick's Church. Master of ceremonies for the evening was Scott Poese, general manager of KBRX radio and current president of the O'Neill Chamber of Commerce. Entertainment was provided by O'Neill High School stage band directed by Mr. Chad Dean:

Guest speaker was Rob Worthington, a "Creighton University graduate with a bachelor's degree in accounting: Ron has worked as development officer, foundation administrator and currently is the estate planning officer for the Archdiocese of Omaha.

Worthington praised St. Patrick's Parish and St. Mary's School for their foresight and work in building endowment funds with a value at over $4,000,000. The interest from these funds is used to support St. Mary's School and St. Patrick's Parish with the high cost of running and maintaining a Catholic school in a rural agricultural area. Worthington commented', "St. Patrick's Parish and St. Mary's School are one of the brightest stars in the Omaha Archdiocese. You at St. Pat's and St. Mary's have been a gift, a shining example of how to run a quality Catholic school." Mr. Worthington encouraged alumni and patrons of St: Patrick's Parish to actively support their school and parish hall with gifts of true talent and monies.
