JUNIOR VARSITY CARDS TIE AND LOSE CONTESTS

The 10-2 O"Neill St. Mary's Junior Varsity had two contest this past week ending with a tie and a loss after the two games. The JV's will have their final game of the season on Friday as the Pope John Crusaders visit O"Neill.

On Tuesday the Cardinals traveled to Butte for a scheduled three quarter contest which ended in a 38-38 tie. Due to a lack of numbers for the Wildcats and playing minutes available both sides agreed to the stalemate. Sophomore Ross Crumly and Freshmen Nate Peterson led the Cards with 9 points each. Junior Tony Gallagher tossed in 8 points.

On Friday the Cardinals lost a hard fought 56-51 contest to the Chamber Coyotes. Both teams played very well as 16 young men scored in the contest. Freshmen Nate Peterson led the Cards with 10 points. Andrew Krotter, Tony Gallagher, and Hayden Schneider added 9, 8, and 7 points respectively. The now 10-3-1 Cardinals will look for win number eleven on Friday.
