St. Mary's used a fourth quarter comeback and overtime to defeat Stuart and Lynch.
St. Mary's vs. Stuart
On Friday the Lady Cards trailed Stuart going into the fourth 32-22, In the first couple minutes of the fourth, Liz Willis made a lay-up and got fouled, then making the free throw. Jacquie Stowell and Meghan Boyle both made three, pointers to put the lead at one. Both teams traded baskets with Jenna Connot making two buckets 'off of Liz Willis assists to take the lead. With four seconds left Stuart was fouled behind the three point line but was called a two shot foul. Jami Dvorak made both free throws but Jenna Connot threw along pass to a streaking Liz Willis and Sloane Schneider followed the miss to make the final 44-41:
St. Mary's was led by Liz Willis and Jacquie Stowell with 11 points each and Jenna Connot with eight. Liz Willis also had nine rebounds and four assists. Ashley Vandersnick had her third game in a row as a presence with eight blocks.
St. Mary's vs. Lynch
Saturday night the Lady Cards led the whole game until Sarah Korb hit a three pointer with four seconds left to put the game into overtime 50-50: In the overtime Lynch took the lead on two free throws but Jenna Connot came back with a score off a Liz Willis assist and Jacquie Stowell hit a three on the next possession to give the Cards a three point lead they would not squander in winning 62-55. The Lady Cards were led by Liz Willis who played a complete game with 10 points, 11 rebounds and five assists and two blocks. Jacquie Stowell and Jenna Connot also had huge games with 20 points and 17 points respectively. Jenna also had a team high 13 boards.
Lynch was led by Jamie Wickersham with 21 points on 15-16 free throws. Jamie also led the Eagles with nine rebounds. Sarah Korb had 12 points and seven steals and Abbie Hadenfeldt dropped in 10 points.
