Catherine T. Craig

Catherine Teresa Craig, age 89, of O'Neill, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at St. Anthony's Hospital in O'Neill.

Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2005, at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill with a Catholic Daughters Rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a Parish Rosary at 8 p.m.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in O'Neill. Rev. Eric Olsen officiated the service. Music was provided by the St. Patrick's Choir and Catherine Engram accompanied by Susie Kramer.

Pallbearers were Larry Wanser, Carol McKay, Dean Holliday, Larry Kaczor, Ron Holly and Gary Holly.

Interment was in the O'Neill Calvary Cemetery.

Biglin's Mortuary, Inc. of O'Neill was in charge of arrangements.

Catherine was born Feb. 11, 1916, in O'Neill, to John and Anna(Welch) Carney. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy in 1936, from 1936 to 1940 she worked at the O'Neill courthouse.

On Jan. 22, 1940, in O'Neill, she married Vernon Craig of Page. To this union one son was born. On October 7, 1947, Vernon passed away at the age of 33 years. Catherine and her son then made their home with her father and brother Edmond.

She began working in the cafeteria at St. Mary's Academy and later transferred to the cafeteria at St. Anthony's Hospital. She worked there until she retired.

Catherine is survived by her son, Bill and wife Sandra of Gillette, WY; two grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon Craig; two sisters; and five brothers.
