(Pinkerman) Coventry and departed this life on Jan 19, 2003, at Avera
St. Anthony's Hospital in O'Neill after a year-long battle with
cancer.
Bob graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1963, then enlisted in the U.S. Army in October 1963 and was honorably discharged in 1965. After returning home from the service he began ranching with his father. On Oct 29, 1966, he was united in marriage to Patsy Gillogly. To this union four children were born, Jim, Kari, Coni and Candi. He had a great love for music and was a self-taught drummer who helped establish the Country Gentlemen. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. He always loved a good card game and his friends will always remember him passing the deck when it was his turn to deal. In March of 1997, Bob joined St. Patrick's Church in O'Neill where he grew strong in his faith. His grandchildren brought extra enjoyment to his life.
Bob is survived by his wife, one son, Jim and Christi of O'Neill; three daughters, Kari and Joe Pierson of St. Paul, Coni and Ritchie Meyer of Page and Candi Coventry of Battle Creek; one brother, Dick and Judy Coventry of Omaha and one sister-in-law, LaVonne Coventry of Casper, WY; eight grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ron.
