During the year 1934; our sixth grade, Sr.Jolenta spent many after-school hours tutoring Eileen Kelly and Catherine McNichols for the Holt County spelling contest. It paid off, with Eileen taking first place and Catherine second. Sr. should be given credit for this.

Also our family owns one of the pianos from the 1900 school. It can no longer be tuned, but might be of sentimental value to someone.
