1960- Franciscan Sisters give St. Mary's Academy building and grounds to St. Patrick's Parish. The Sisters remain to staff and administer the school.

1961- The Sisters moved into a newly built convent. Increased enrollment from the "Baby Boom" and an aging building meant building a new high school with modern gymnasium.
1962- The new high school is completed and classes begun there. Girls Volleyball started.
1965- FIRE DESTOYS THE OLD ACADEMY BUILDING, February 16.
1965-1966- Students and faculty make the best of temporary classrooms generously provided at the armory and O'Neill Public School.
1966- A new elementary school was ready for occupancy.
1968- St. Mary's High School Library receives National Citation for Excellency.
