Members of the faculty at St, Mary's during the year of the big fire (which it surely will always be remembered as) consisted of Sister of Saint Francis, lay teachers and priests.
Mother Antonella, superior at the school has been superior at St. Mary's since 1960 when she returned for Mary Crest in Denver to take over the reins of the school. Mother Antonella is well acquainted with O'Neill, being born and raised near here. She first came to St. Mary's in 1941 as a sophomore teacher, she later went to Minot, N. D. where she taught for one year and then to Alliance, Nebraska as principal from 1942 to 1944, returning back to St. Mary's in 1945 and remaining here until 1954 as principal. She spent two years at Alliance and two years at Mary Crest before returning to St. Mary's in 1960.
Sister Mildred is grade school principal and was named to this position when the new school was built and they were separated.
Sister Mildred was born in North Dakota near Minot and came to St. Mary's in 1939 to 1941. She lest and returned to 1950 and since that time she has been the eighth grade teacher.
Faculty members are: high school, S. Josephine 12; S. Constance 11; S. George and Mr. Ron Bovil 10; S. Agnes 9; S. Flores, music; S. Christiana, library and Latin and Mother Antonella French; Father Milone and Crick religion.
