THE CHALLENGE IS BEFORE US ALL
Thus the challenge
to successfully complete the Challenge 2000 program is before us all.
However, it is a challenge that we can readily meet if we all give
prayerful thought to our commitment. A very important goal for the
campaign is to seek the involvement of every parish family in the
campaign by making a five-year commitment to the Challenge 2000
program. This brochure has been provided for you to review before the
two weekends during which you will be asked to return the enclosed
pledge card at Masses on May 27 and 28 and June 3 & 4. During May
and June, personal calls will also be made by campaign volunteers to
the homes of certain individuals. If you are called upon during this
period, please welcome these volunteers into your home and show by
your readiness that you share their commitment. This contagious
feeling will spread and will send them on their way to a speedy and
successful completion of their mission.
This campaign represents an opportunity for every member of St. Patrick’s to participate in this exciting and necessary project. In keeping with a spirit of stewardship, if you are asked to serve as a volunteer, we ask you to accept the task with enthusiasm. When you are asked to make a pledge, we hope you will sacrifice as deeply as you can, knowing that your financial commitment is an opportunity to help build, strengthen and even preserve our parish and school for ourselves and for those who will be joining us as well as following us.
