Dear Parents/Guardian

Thank you for your interest in Saint Mary's Schools. As the Principal of Saint Mary's Elementary and High School, I would like to wish everyone a heartfelt welcome to the 2006-2007 school year. There is a great feeling of optimism among the parish/school community as another year rapidly approaches.

This year's Arch-Diocesan theme for Catholic Schools is "Christ Centered Learning." As a result, St. Mary's students will be offered an abundance of opportunities to learn how Jesus Christ is present in all aspects of the learning environment. Saint Mary's students will garner continued reinforcement on how Catholic values contribute to a sense of "wholeness" in their everyday lives. Furthermore, students will be presented numerous opportunities for service projects throughout the church and greater O'Neill community.

At Saint Mary's we recognize that you, the parents, are the most long-lasting and important teacher in your child's life. In considering Saint Mary's for your family, you are paying us a tremendous compliment. I can assure you that each faculty and staff member at Saint Mary's is qualified, living and dedicated to giving your child a wonderful experience during her or his elementary, junior high and high school years. Our mission is to provide a safe Christian atmosphere where students can grow and learn. You will find that Saint Mary's is an extension of your own family.

We believe that a Saint Mary's education gives students an advantage that lasts a lifetime. Our academic programs are exceptional, but the Saint Mary's advantage incorporates faith value and discipline with learning. Our program is designed to educate the whole child - mentally, physically and spiritually - and to help each child become prepared to face any of life's challenges knowing that God is present in both joyous occasions and human conflict.

We look forward to hearing from you and, once again, welcome back and thank you for your interest in and commitment to Saint Mary's Schools.

Your Brother in Christ,

Norm Hale

Principal
