GOD BLESS US, GOD BLESS AMERICA

As the United States of America celebrates its 232nd birthday as a nation and is on the threshold of the election of the next President, let us pray for our nation to be committed to the God inspired  vision of the founding fathers of this great  nation.

Our nation’s currency proudly bears witness across the globe, as cash and coins trade hands in the world market, that the people of this country boldly proclaim, “IN GOD WE TRUST.”  With  grateful hearts we thank the Lord for the blessings poured out on our nation and on our own Saint Patrick and Saint Joseph’s parish families.  We are grateful for the freedoms that we have because of our Constitutions and the valiant, selfless sacrifices of those who protect our freedoms in all the branches of the military.

On our part, as Catholic-Christians, we are called to take our own stand for the God-values on which the Constitutions and laws of our land have been built and sustained from its inception. The principles of peace, justice, morality, truth and freedom of all   peoples of every nation, color, race and gender are rooted and have their foundations in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is imperative and beholden on each of us to promote, practice, uphold and ensure the continuity of this great nation’s Godly purpose and God-centered       identity. Let us pray for the courage and the wisdom of God to guide us in the polls as we elect our next President and our leaders; let us be free to demand that God’s presence and blessings not be stripped from the spirit of our nation; let us be blessed because we always place our hope and or trust in God, from whom all blessings flow. God Bless America, God Bless Us All.
