                                                                                                                                                            THIRD SUNDAY OF EASTER

DIALOGUE  --&-- FEAST ABUNDANTLY on CATHOLIC THEOLOGY & SCRIPTURE

ALLELUIA!

GRACED WEEKEND of

DIVINE MERCY

There is no greater joy for one’s soul than to have all of one’s past sins & all punishment due to them washed away by the Lord’s special gift of Divine Mercy.

The long lines of repentant sinners bears testimony to the tremendous need for healing from past hurt, scars from the wounds of habitual sin and the burdens of guilt that makes life so heavy, hopeless and empty.

What is even more exciting is the awesome witness of faith, belief and trust in the promises of the Lord!  “For God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

The scriptures remind us that Thomas, one of the twelve Apostles, had to make a very clear and direct articulation of faith and belief in the Risen Lord.  Without faith, humility, sorrow for our sins and belief in the power of the Risen Lord to free us from sin, we cannot have eternal life.  Truly the grace and peace of the Risen Lord has filled so many of us during this Easter Octave who humbly embraced the God given opportunity.  Alleluia!
